Nicola Burton brings a wide and rich background to her client work, including over 25 years working with leaders in industry, commerce and the public sector.

Using a facilitative and coaching approach, Nicky helps leaders and their teams to reach greater focus and clarity on their issues and objectives. She also helps them to refine their approach and relationships, thereby improving their performance.

This may involve a number of aspects, such as working on individuals’ self-awareness, developing and implementing personal and team development plans, overcoming skill gaps and working on culture and beliefs.

One of Nicky’s strengths is her ability to deal with the human dimension. She achieves this by combining her wide business experience with her gestalt psychotherapy to help individuals cope with issues and concerns, which may be major impediments to change.

“It’s rarely straightforward when organisations want people to change” she says. “You usually encounter resistance and it’s vital to work with this creatively to enable people to adapt effectively”.

As well as having the background to feel at home in a wide range of organizations, Nicky also has the experience of operating at different levels and different scales.

Her clients range from the highest level civil servants, FTSE 100 board directors to owners of family businesses.

In all cases the same results are required: to improve business performance, to develop capability and talent, to engage people and lead change, all in the context of an achievable and meaningful strategy.

Nicky achieves this by pairing her intellect and professional skills with insight, warmth and humour. She is equally at home in the board room, working with groups of managers and in one-to-one coaching.

Like the entire Concerto Consulting team, Nicky is highly qualified. She has a BA Hons in History, and masters degrees in Organisation Behaviour and Gestalt Psychotherapy. She is qualified to use a range of psychometric instruments and is also a yoga teacher.
