Capabilities Development

What we do

We provide fully customised strategic Capabilities Development support to individuals and to teams of multinational companies and other organisations.

The development domains in which we primarily work are in leadership skills, strategic leadership, business acumen for leaders, leadership of change, business partnering for support functions, and consulting skills.

This support consists of a range of intervention styles including workshop facilitation, training, team and individual coaching.

How we do it

We believe that for leaders to learn effectively, their learning interventions must include 4 dimensions

  • the new skills and knowledge must be deeply anchored in their particular “real world” of their business and organisational life
  • their development experience must include a substantial element of “learning by doing”
  • changes are required in multiple dimensions simultaneously including behavioural, thinking and feeling (or “mindset”)
  • the organisation must support its learners to embed and practice the new behaviours, skills and mindset

To that end, our development support always contains direct linkages to the specific business challenges that our client organisations and their individual leaders face. We also use an “action learning” approach in which real world deliverables/changes are achieved while learning. We accelerate the learning using a variety of tools in multiple dimensions including psychometric, experiential and cognitive. Finally, we work with our clients to ensure that the right ongoing support is provided by the organisation to help the learners apply their new skills and approaches to drive performance.
